Character’s Fandom: "Lost Souls" by Poppy Z. Brite
Character’s Personality: Gentle and kind and patient, Ghost has an inner peace that is impossible to deny. He calms those around him, trying to play mediator when things (i.e. Steve) gets too heated. Empathic, he senses peoples feelings, can see, to a point, what is inside them, more emotion rather than thought, although he has been known to tell a person’s life by looking at them. Draped in dreams, he receives vivid visions of what is to come, but he tends not to understand them, and will often wake up with stories of them. They do strike when he is awake also, but they are faint, quiet. He can feel the spirits in places, can sometimes hear them speak if they are potent enough, and he has no problem coexisting with them.
He enjoys the wilderness, the back water towns, far more than the city, finding his way easily with an internal compass. He sees the layout in his head, even if it’s hidden from view, and can walk the path without even opening his eyes.
Ghost enjoys partaking of marijuana and alcohol, particularly of White Horse whiskey (“Did you know Dylan Thomas was drinking at a pub called White Horse the night he died?”), and it has been noted that he can drink everyone else under the table without “getting a damn bit weirder”. He is part of a band called “Lost Souls?”, the singer with a gravelly gold Carolina voice, and aches to learn to play guitar, much at Steve’s begrudging reluctance. It is also good to note that he bears a notebook in his knapsack with a journal and song lyrics he has written scrawled across the pages, and that he enjoys drawing in marker on his shoes. His clothes are usually from the thrift stores, often with tye-dye shirts and a famous straw hat with multi-colored streams tied to it.
He has been called “Angel”, but how he feels about it is left to be told. Affectionate and understanding, it would not be unusual to be touched by him, as long as Steve isn’t around to glare the receiver down.
